LGBTQ

In recent times, when there are a lot of things happening across the globe, we can’t ignore some of the basic issues in our society. Recently an INDIAN OTT platform EORTV has decided to show all the positive aspects of the life of the LGBTQ community but we cannot deny the misfortunes faced by the community in society.

Here we will show you how the community survives in Asia-pacific Region including INDIA & other neighboring countries.

Amongst all Asian countries, Afghanistan is the worst for LGBTQ, where they have no rights & probably they even face execution.

Asian LGBTQ has recently decided to celebrate its proud month, where they have experienced significantly good developments as a community in countries like Israel, Taiwan & Japan in terms of conditions & accessibility, and understanding, but there are also a few where, their condition becomes poorer like Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Brunei.

During an African-led coalition, most Muslim-majority nations, and a few more like China and Singapore, declared their absolute opposition to UN experts about LGBTQ rights.

According to the Economic survey of 2019, 45% of Asian believed that same-sex marriage is inescapable while 31% disagreed with the statement.

Coverage of LGBTQ issues in mainstream media is also an issue according to the published reports.

In India, the Supreme Court issued its verdict in 2018 saying, ‘SECTION 377 Is unconstitutional as it infringed on the fundamental rights of autonomy, intimacy, and identity, thus legalizing homosexuality in INDIA.70 countries of the world currently have criminalized same-sex relationship.11 declared the death penalty for the same. India is like other countries, slowly trying to be more open towards LGBTQ but with limitations. We hope for a better future & living standard in INDIA & across the globe in the coming future.

Every individual has this right to live as per basic living standards, and freedom, and can celebrate life within mankind's limitations where we shouldn’t be harmful & judgmental to other living beings. I Hope EORTV will keep on motivating people from all across the world towards gender equality & neutrality towards the LGBTQ community in the future like this and their condition will improve slowly but surely.
